Aimi is an international G4D golfer, inclusion advocate and champion for greater opportunities, visibility and representation for women with disabilities in golf.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2013, Aimi experienced first-hand the impact sport can have on confidence, identity and belonging. In 2016, she became the first English woman to compete in G4D and, in 2019, the first woman to represent England. This summer she was part of the England team that won the EGA European Nations Cup.
Alongside competing, Aimi has spent 15 years in various volunteer roles in golf.
As Chair of Sunningdale Heath Golf Club, she led significant change as it transitioned away from a “Ladies” club, before moving into disability golf where she spent five years on the board of international organisation EDGA.
Drawing on her experiences as both a player and advocate, Aimi established Women’s G4D, creating a community for women with disabilities focused on increasing their visibility, opportunities and voice within golf.
