Michelle McGill has been responsible for leading on England Golf’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion framework since 2023, shaping both internal policies, processes and practices, and inspiring change within the wider golfing community. In this role, Michelle has led on the creation of England Golf’s Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan and has orchestrated the signing of the Brighton plus Helsinki Declaration, demonstrating England Golf’s commitment to ensuring that golf is a safe and equitable space for all.
Alongside this, Michelle led on the creation of Golf Fore Her, an online resource to empower women and girls to make decisions about how they engage with golf throughout their life stages and to support those within the golfing community to create environments that are safe and welcoming for women and girls.
Before joining England Golf, Michelle was a HE sports lecturer and is currently working towards completing her PhD. Michelle is passionate about creating environments that are intentionally safe, inclusive and welcoming to all, so that golf can be a space where everyone belongs.
